About

I'm a physiatrist with a spinal cord injury subspecialty. My day-to-day is inpatient SCI rehabilitation, IDT leadership, residency teaching, and quality work across the medical group.

I built this site to do three things at once: explain SCI in plain language for patients and families, track AI and tech in healthcare for clinicians and administrators, and document the rest of life — gardening, skiing, chess, kids — because clinicians are people first.

What I work on

• Spinal cord injury inpatient rehabilitation, with subspecialty focus on neuromodulation, exoskeletons, diaphragm pacing, and complex wound care.
• SCI program direction at an IRF: admissions, IDT, payer dynamics, quality, advocacy.
• Healthcare AI and informatics — strategic, not engineering. EHR/Epic, ambient scribes, FDA AI/ML clearances.
• Resident teaching and journal club; SCI patient-education materials.
